Does this feel familiar?

The business grew. The job changed.

If any of this sounds familiar, your business is asking something new of you. It’s time to step into a new level of leadership.

  1. 01

Decisions that used to take five minutes now take days because more people are involved.

  2. 02

You’re no longer in every conversation, and information doesn’t always find its way back to you.

  3. 03

You’re working far too late, picking up the slack and protecting the standard.

  4. 04

Random people problems are eating your time, energy, and occasionally your will to open Slack.

  5. 05

Your team needs a different kind of leadership from you now than it did when there were only a few of you.

What it brings

Two days built for this exact stage.

Eight founders, one table, and a hands-on, playful workshop built around your actual problems.

Our facilitators will guide you through the real challenges of running a growing team and help you build the leadership skills to meet them.

Leading through people-related challenges
Building confidence around decision making
Making tough calls and leading your team through them
Sitting with discomfort and uncertainty
Creating a reflective practice that keeps your leadership growing
Knowing when to step in — and when to step back
Leaders learning together in an immersive session

Practise, don’t perform.

Here’s how it works

No boring slides. We’re gonna get hands-on.

Across two days, you’ll move through games, scenarios, reflective walks and honest conversation — all built around the real challenges of running a growing team. The point is never to talk about leadership. It’s to do it.

01

Practice

Through games, scenarios and immersive exercises, you actually do the thing — have the hard conversation, make the tough call, sit with the discomfort.

02

Reflect

We slow it down and pull apart what happened — what worked, what surprised you, and what it revealed about how you lead. Honest, structured debriefs with your facilitators and seven peers who just watched it unfold.

03

Apply

You connect the learning back to your actual business and leave with something concrete to try on Monday — carried forward in your custom report and debrief after the event.

Why you’d choose to attend.

01

Tailored

Your business and situation, not a curriculum pulled off a shelf.

02

Peer-powered

Seven founders at your stage, in it with you from start to finish.

03

Accessible

Two days, a discovery session and a custom report at a genuinely useful investment.

04

Actually different

You practise the hard stuff through games, not lectures. Better, obviously.

What you’ll take back to work

Useful on Monday. Not someday.

Decisions that actually move

A practical way to get decisions moving in minutes, not days, so the business stops waiting on you.

Visibility without being everywhere

Ways to stay genuinely in the loop without needing to sit in every conversation yourself.

The confidence to let go

Real practice trusting your team with the standard, so you’re not picking up the slack at 9pm.

A steadier hand with people stuff

Less second guessing when the people-related fires arrive, so they stop eating your whole day.

The leadership your team needs now

A clearer view of what the next level looks like, with real practice stepping into it.

Who’s invited?

This is for you if

  • You want to grow with your business and be ready for what comes with that.
  • You’re up for the rewarding, hard work of examining your own behaviour.
  • You want to be stretched, not handed irrelevant information.
  • You want connection with leaders in a similar position.
  • You’re up for play, storytelling and gamification as serious learning methods.

Probably not for you if

  • You believe there’s no more growing for you to do.
  • You’re not up for looking inward and finding ways to level up.
  • You’re perfectly happy with how you lead and see no challenges ahead.
  • Play as a learning method is a hard no.

Still got an excuse?

Roll for it. The dice have heard them all.

Excuse 1 of 20

Excuse #1

I’m too busy to take two days off.

Yeah, and next quarter’s busier. If you wait for the calendar to clear, it never will — you have to clear it.

Tamara Buckland

Founder & facilitator

Your facilitator

The person who's got your back.

Tamara has spent years building immersive, play-based leadership experiences for teams and leaders across New Zealand and Australia, working with organisations including Sharesies, Wētā FX, and The Attention Seeker. They're also a fractional Chief People Officer and co-founder of BloomHQ.

Their approach comes from a simple, stubborn belief: leadership training fails when it asks people to learn without letting them practise.

Tamara will be with you for the full two days: facilitating, challenging, and keeping the room honest. Outside leadership rooms, they ride motorbikes and play Dungeons & Dragons. Obviously.

Questions before you pull up a chair?

Good. Questions are generally a sign that your brain is switched on.

Chat to the team

Fair reaction. Honestly, we love a sceptic. They’re often the people who get the most from it once they’re in the room. If you’re sceptical and intrigued, this is probably for you.

Your seat at the table.

It takes guts to build a business. It takes something different to lead it well as it grows. That’s exactly what these two days are for.

Apply for your seat. Tell us what’s actually going on, and we’ll tell you straight whether this is the right room for you.
